Yesterday Ethan was able to hold baby Levi for the first time. He didn’t need to be told to be gentle. He didn’t need to be told to hold his head. He knew. With all the practice given with Evy, he knew just what to do. And even more precious, was that I had a distinct sense that Ethan understood that Levi was tiny and special.
Ethan slowly scooted back, and then adjusted just a bit, all on his own, to cradle him even closer. And slowly leaned back. He became very still. And just watched him. And my heart melted.
