GreatPapa and GreatNana are awesome with our kids. And this really doesn’t come as a surprise. Maybe it’s all their experience (10 kids of their own, 20+ grandkids, I’ve lost count of all the great-grandkids). They simply have a way with people. It’s unrushed, gentle, and tender.
After a beautiful lunch feast (seriously, in awe), GreatNana had the “little tractor” all set for Ethan to drive all.by.himself. So at least 30min was spent following him around the farm as he ecstatically drove around their property.
We got to talk about everything from farming to family to church to their story. We love spending time with them. What an honor to learn from someone who has gone before and can speak wisdom and experience. Love it.
And these two, well. They were pretty content.
So GreatNana. Thank you for an amazing meal, for having so many tractors, and for speaking love to our kids. GreatPapa. Thank you for cuddling our baby, showing our toddler the learned-skill of windup toys, and for sharing so many stories. We love you guys!
