This CO trip was the trip of climbing. And not just like “lets walk this path climbing”. It was “wait buddy! we gotta go with you, please don’t fall off of the mountain” climbing. Lemme show you.
There was no path. No “follow these sticks”. It was straight-up don’t fall off the edge. To the top. He was fearless. He was natural. I think he did this one three times top to bottom?!
76 degrees with a warm sun, no humidity, and a cool breeze made the Rockies perfect. Ethan climbed for an hour or two.
Ha. And the other people watching = (man at the top to ethan) “um, how are you?” Ethan “three!” man yelling to his wife at the bottom “There is a THREE year old up here?!” to matt “She won’t let our 10 year old up here“.
Well, sometimes you gotta let go and let your kid take a risk.
and Evy watched it all….pulled herself up to a few rocks, attempted to eat every.single.rock.
It was a perfect day. And E was WAYYY too happy.
The kids did some napping, we did some swimming, we ate amazing food, went shopping, did legos, and went to bed early.
Here it is in live action! Just listen to Ethan try to coach…..it’s. well. wonderful.
