Nana made Ethan “busy bags” (aka “nana bags”) last Christmas and he plays with them almost daily. On the super hot days, we often play inside during the heat of the day and this is a favorite to do while Evy is down for her nap. He recently has loved doing every.single.bag in one sitting. I am constantly amazed at the time it must have taken nana and papa to make all of these. Thank you!
Felt Rainbow = he can order it by color from the instructions, but still too hard to order on his own by shape
Paintstrip Clothspins = This really enabled him to learn darker and lighter concepts! This bag takes him the longest
Brown bear Brown bear matching = We read the book with it too. It makes me happy
Where does it belong = skill of learning what goes in the air vs land vs water, in the last month he has gotten them all correct!
Fishing = magnetic fishing, what’s not to love?! Recent task is learning to have enough control to only pick up the color I ask.
Puff balls = this is the messiest bag to clean up but he loves it.
Count and read numbers = his new FAVORITE one! count the object, identify the numbers and put the pin on the right one. He can do almost 1-12!
Velcro sticks = the most portable and well-used bag! Skill = create shapes and objects, understand how many sides triangle vs diamond vs pentagon etc. He loves to make a kite, a necklace, and a house.
Matching = A hard one for him since many of them look alike, but he can usually get half of them.
Felt Mr.Potato Head = Creatively use all the pieces. (and yes he did it all in this photo with no help from mama, he was especially concerned making sure she had eyebrows)
