This morning, Evy sat and looked outside. And stared. And stared some more. And then gave me a look that I interpreted as “it’s 60 and sunny with a breeze and we should go outside and sit on the backyard swing and listen to the birds”. Ok little girl. I hear ya…..
So she laid on the swing. Content. Looking around. (and may I say the easiest way to get a baby down for a nap). We walked inside, put her in her crib. And as I write this, she’s fast asleep for her morning nap. Amidst the simple mornings, mostly of diapers and nursing and birds chirping and cleaning bathrooms and making bread….it’s beautiful. My son is playing with bigger kids today. My love is providing us food and shelter and saving his world. My daughter is breathing. I’m sitting here with the windows open. I hope your morning has been as beautiful as mine.
