Last weekend, we realized we have never placed candle’s in front of Ethan. His response to the birthday song and attempt to “blow out the candles” was one of ‘blank-stare-what-on-earth-are-you-guys-doing-and-why-is-there-fire-next-to-me?‘. And he promptly pushed the plate further away from him (and asked for blueberries instead).
But regardless, we had a wonderful morning celebrating him turning TWO! (it overall, it was better than last year, if you remember….). Our one activity with our family and friends was “Our life with Ethan”. Each random team had 3 minutes to complete the task of one of Ethan’s favorite activities: 1) building the best block tower 2) making a complete train track with ALL the pieces 3) drawing trucks with the window markers (that are identifiable).
We finished off with some snacks and Ethan was spoiled rotten by amazing gifts (which will keep us occupied and learning throughout the fall/winter!! THANK YOU!). But most importantly, we all loved having so many of our companions in one place. Here’s to another year!
