On our last day at the cabin, we enjoyed a quiet brunch followed by a few more walks around the area. We talked about being parents and being married. About volunteering and what makes us passionate. About music and books. About politics and the church. About friends and family. About the future. About the present. And remembering the past.
What an amazing weekend we had. We are calling it our “Sabbath vacation” because it recharged us. No screens and no phones. No busyness or distractions. No plans or expectations. Just us living together as a family and it was wonderful.
