After our morning walk, we went onto the deck to play with Ethan. We read some books, played with toys, and just enjoyed sitting outside in the beautiful sun. We were surrounded by the sounds of various birds and saw/heard loons as well. Even a little muskrat was running around on the shore and deer were walking across the driveway.
We had some lunch and then decided to drive a short distance to walk around a nearby town for a few hours.
Ethan is at the age where he loves to stand whenever and wherever he can!
We have no idea why Ethan put his hands on his head, but he gave us this goofy look and kept his hands there long enough to grab the photo!
Most of our family photos are done with a timer and a tripod, and by some miracle, Ethan somehow managed to look up at the perfect time. We only needed one try for each photo! It was pretty great.
After Ethan’s nap in the stroller, we stopped at the river to watch the boats.
Soon we returned to the cabin for dinner and we couldn’t help but go down the steps to get close to the river once more. This was Matt’s favorite moment of the entire weekend.
More to come soon…
